MATLAB (Definition)

MATLAB, short for MATrix LABoratory, is a computer algebra system produced by MathWorks. It was developed by Cleve Moler at the University of New Mexico, the first commercial version came out in 1984. The syntax of MATLAB is called M-code. Optionally, MATLAB can be coupled with the Maple kernel.
