Abstract: This on-line tutorial has been developed to teach students how to create an interactive interface to a database using only a text editor rather than using an expensive application program. The tutorial can be completed in only three weeks and therefore can be used in a variety of existing courses. Students merely need prerequisite knowledge of HTML, Visual BASIC or vbscript, and the ability to build a simple database using Access.
